Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT®)

Apologies, I am not currently accepting any new clients.

Brain Working Recursive Therapy was created in 2011 by the eminent therapist, author and founder of the Institute of Brain Working Recursive Therapy, Terence Watts.

What is BWRT®?

BWRT® stands for ‘Brain Working Recursive Therapy®’, which is a model of psychology and psychotherapy.

BWRT® differs from many other types of therapy in that it can be undertaken ‘content free.’ This means that you do not have to reveal in-depth details about the issue that you are seeking to address if you don’t want to, just what that issue is.

Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT®  and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code.  Find out at www.bwrt.org

BWRT® does NOT use hypnosis. Neither is it related to hypnotherapy in any way. It is a completely different, unique and very powerful therapy. It is also practical and straight-forward, because it works with how the brain works.

Through BWRT® you are able to re-programme the neural pathways in your brain that are creating an unwanted emotional or habitual response and replace it with one that you do want.

Do I need an in-depth understanding of how BWRT® works for it to work for me?

No. You just need a basic understanding of how Terence Watts came to develop BWRT® and the process through which it works, which I will explain to you.

What types of issue can BWRT® help with?

There are three different levels of BWRT®, each of which deals with different types and complexity of problem. I am qualified as a BWRT® therapist to work with people who are seeking help with issues such as:

  • Fears and phobias
  • Self-confidence and self-worth
  • Low self-esteem
  • Anxieties
  • Success inhibition
  • Performance anxieties
  • And some others

If you are experiencing serious addictions, severe depression and/or deep seated trauma and you want to work with a BWRT® therapist, you should seek a practitioner who has been specifically trained to use BWRT® therapy techniques for these issues. Such practitioners will show BWRT Level 2 or Level 3 after their name.

How many BWRT® sessions will I need?

It is not possible to guarantee how many sessions an issue can take to resolve, but BWRT® is a generally a rapid treatment therapy. Straight forward problems can often be resolved in two or three sessions, sometimes less, but obviously this cannot be guaranteed.

Will I need a free initial consultation?

Yes absolutely.

Any therapy is a collaborative process in which it is vital that both the therapist and the client agree that they can work together and that they are both committed to doing so.

You need to feel that I am right therapist for you and I need to be assured that I am qualified to use BWRT® for the issue that you want to resolve.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition or are seeking BWRT® for a condition, which may need medical treatment it will be necessary for your doctor, and/or other medical professional to be consulted before we commence therapy.

All client information is confidential and collected, maintained and stored in accordance with data protection legislation.
